J.A. Wedum Foundation

THE J.A. WEDUM FOUNDATION is committed to students and parents.

The Keeler community was developed by 17th Avenue Housing, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the J. A. Wedum Foundation, specifically to house University of Minnesota students and faculty. This non-profit family foundation has, as its main objective, to set the standard in quality housing for students, provide educational support to future generations and to impact the community through charitable giving. Members of the foundation are dedicated to providing safe and affordable living opportunities for students, and they have worked diligently over the years to keep that commitment to both students and their parents.

The J.A. Wedum Foundation also owns University Village, a student housing facility that is located close to campus, near Washington and University Avenues. Profits from both Keeler and University Village are used to provide grants to organizations in our community. Each year, the foundation awards $30,000 in scholarships to residents of Keeler Apartments and University Village through its “Foundation for Education” program. In addition, the Foundation has provided support to several University of MN programs that were of particular interest to our residents.
